I find that it is easier when first starting out to use your free bonus wishes right away to get $10,000 to open a bank account as soon as possible, so your money doesnt get stolen and you can use it immediately afterwards to buy the necessary items only. That way when the bigger payout missions come around, you have enough money to buy the items they require and make more money sooner.
Also, the first property available is realy cheap so buy 10 at once. You may have to do a couple more missions to buy 10 at once, but it is cheaper in the long run as it goes up like $500-$2000 everytime you purchase a single one.
